KATHERINE APPS IN EQUALITY LAW CASE IN SUPREME COURT

On 21 February 2017 Katherine Apps will appear in the Supreme Court (led by Martin Chamberlain QC and Oliver Sanders QC) in R (Coll) v Secretary of State for Justice. The Supreme Court will consider whether the arrangements for placing prisoners in Approved Premises upon release from custody give rise to unlawful direct or indirect sex discrimination. Lady Hale, Lord Clarke, Lord Wilson, Lord Hodge and Lord Toulson will hear an appeal from the judgment of the Court of Appeal which can be read HERE

Katherine is instructed by the Government Legal Department who are acting for the Secretary of State for Justice.
