John Mehrzad appointed to Tokyo 2020 Olympics & Paralympics Legal Mentoring Scheme

John Mehrzad has been appointed to the mentoring panel, comprising leading global international sports lawyers and arbitrators, for the Tokyo 2020 legal service management and pro bono lawyers panel.

Since the Atlanta 1996 Games, the Court of Arbitration for Sport has sat in each Olympic city on an ad hoc basis during their duration to resolve disputes on an expedited basis with local pro bono lawyers made available to participants. John was a legal panel member for the London 2012 Olympics & Paralympics and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. He is also highly experienced in matters before the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

John will now be part of the select panel which will provide mentoring and training to appointed pro bono lawyers to the Tokyo Olympics & Paralympics next year
