The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) has appointed John Mehrzad KC to its highest grade, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).
His accelerated appointment reflects over 10 years’ experience of arbitration as counsel, legal expert, sole arbitrator and tribunal member in both domestic and international arbitrations.
His arbitration practice focuses mainly on commercial, employment and/or regulatory disputes, often in the sports industry.
Amongst others, he is arbitrator panellist for Sport Resolutions, a legal aid panellist at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, is regularly appointed as counsel or arbitrator in FA, Premier League and English Football League arbitrations, and is experienced before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).
