Mauro Rubino-Sammartano recently chaired the 10th Edition of the International Conference of the European Court of Arbitration at the Complutense University, Madrid. The Conference theme this year was “Choices not to be made in an international arbitration agreement” with delegates considering issues such as the choice of language and venue in international arbitration; the number of arbitrators and the composition of the arbitral tribunal; and arbitral agreements that contain specific provisions on challenges and/or a waiver of challenges to the award.
