Littleton is delighted to announce that Michael Duggan has been appointed a QC in the current application round. Michael is a specialist in all areas of employment law, at an individual and collective level, with a particular specialism in restrictive covenants and discrimination law. He has considerable experience of large scale wrongful dismissal cases, unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, and harassment cases, trade union cases and industrial action injunctions. He has acted in a number of disciplinary cases involving professionals before their professional body. In the commercial field, he has practised in partnership law, commercial agency law and construction disputes as well general contractual litigation.
Michael’s cases have been regularly reported in the IRLR/ICRs. Michael also has expertise in non contentious drafting. Michael has written several books on employment law, including ‘Contracts of Employment: Law Practice and Precedents’ which will go into its 4th edition this year. He is a Senior in Hall in Gray’s Inn and a member of the Bar Council Legislation and Guidance Committee. He lives in Gray’s Inn and Cambridge. Michael regularly appears in the High Court, Employment Tribunals, Employment Appeal Tribunal and has appeared in a number of reported cases in the Court of Appeal. Michael is an experienced mediator in employment and commercial cases.
