David and Georgina acted for hedge fund Davide Leone and Partners and individual employees defending employment tribunal claims brought by a former senior employee and director, Jacopo Moretti. The Claimant brought wide ranging claims of whistleblowing detriment, health and safety detriment, race discrimination, disability discrimination, harassment, and victimisation. After a five week trial at London Central Employment Tribunal the Claimant’s claims were all dismissed, save for a finding of procedurally unfair dismissal. The Claimant had claimed to have suffered losses in excess of $100 million. After the application of Polkey and contributory fault deductions, the Claimant was awarded a basic award of £1286.
