David Reade QC and Lydia Banerjee appeared on behalf of Jess Varnish in her appeal against the decision of the ET that she was not an employee or worker of British Cycling. David and Lydia are instructed by Simon Fenton of Fenton Elliott Solicitors. Ms Varnish seeks to bring claims including unfair dismissal and discrimination against British Cycling relating to her time on the world class programme. The appeal was heard over 19-20 May 2020 and judgment has been reserved. It is anticipated that the reserved decision may not be handed down for several weeks
