The three-month trial of The Republic of Mozambique vs Credit Suisse and Others is scheduled to start on Monday in the Commercial Court. Jonathan Cohen KC and Ashley Cukier (instructed by Arch Law) represent the Fifth Defendant, Detelina Subeva, a former member of the Credit Suisse deal team, in the litigation. The trial, which relates to sovereign guarantees issued by the Republic in respect of loans exceeding $2 billion, is named as one of The Lawyer’s Top 20 Cases for 2023.
