Joel Wallace, Sports Barrister at Littleton Chambers has said the below on the competition:
“We were delighted with the popularity of the competition. My colleagues and I received many compelling responses to this year’s essay question which focused on transparency in sports disciplinary procedures. Overall, entrants demonstrated a real attention to detail and their essays were well-researched. The winning essays crafted kernels of original thought into an engaging and well-structed discussion. One winning essay even proposed a new legal test for determining whether proceedings should be confidential or not. If the competition essays are indicative of the next sports lawyer cohort, the future of sports and law will be exciting.”
