Goldsmiths, University of London has appointed Mohinderpal Sethi KC assisted by Sophia Berry to lead an independent inquiry into antisemitism at the College. The inquiry will determine whether students or staff have experienced antisemitism at Goldsmiths along with examining the College’s response to reports of antisemitism, if its policies are adequate and if it is meeting its legal duties. It will also consider whether Goldsmiths has done enough to make its Jewish students and staff feel welcome, included, and safe from antisemitism. This is the first time that an inquiry into antisemitism has been conducted at a UK higher education institution by an independent chair. Mr Sethi KC is a leading expert in the field of employment and discrimination law.
