David Reade KC and Alexander Robson appear on the issues of the fortification of freezing orders

David Reade KC and Alexander Robson appeared for the Defendants  in Brainbox Digital Ltd v (1) Backbord Media GMBH (2) Hansen [2017] EWHC 2465 (QB).

The case addresses the issue of whether fortification may be ordered for a cross undertakings in damages on the continuation of a freezing order by the imposition of a requirement that an unlimited cross undertaking in damages is given by a non party. The case also considers whether security for costs can be ordered before the service of a defence.
