Littleton is delighted to announce the winners of our 2024 Sports Law Essay Competition.
This year’s Competition invited essays on the following title: “Sport participation is a privilege, not a right”. To what extent is the European Court of Human Rights’ interference with competition rules and sports regulations good for sports governance?
The Competition winners were as follows:
First Place: Francesca Jackson, Lancaster University
Second Place: Puja Pragnesh Patel, Training Contract accepted at Penningtons Manches Cooper
Third Place: Oliver Pedlingham, University of York
Honourable mentions: Georgina Morton, Newcastle University and Kerry O’Shea, University of Law
The Littleton Sports Law Group, many of whom were involved in the judging of the Competition, were impressed with the extremely high standard of this year’s entries.
