vexed question as to the availability of compound interest on a claim for a
money sum is the subject of an important decision of the Privy Council, handed

to obtain an award of compound interest as a remedy under the general law; and
(ii) the basis upon which the courts may interfere with an arbitrator’s
decision to make such an award. A
