Eleena Misra acted for the successful Consultant Child Psychiatrist, Dr Antoinette Geoghegan, in a claim heard by the Newcastle Employment Tribunal during 2011 and 2012.
Dr Geoghegan complained that she had been subjected to a series of detriments in her professional practice by the Northumberland, Tyne & Wear Foundation Trust because of her protected disclosures about, amongst other matters, a serious case of sexual abuse of a child by a third party outside the Trust. She also complained that the treatment she had received at the hands of senior management amounted to disability discrimination.
