John is the Head of the Sports Law Group at Littleton, and is a leading figure in sporting investigations/reviews having, amongst others, been a panellist on the independent review of British Cycling (2016/17), chaired the review into the British Equestrian Federation (2017/18) and chaired the review into UK Athletics’ decision-making concerning the Nike Oregon Project/Alberto Salazar (2019/2020). He has also led on training, written and lectured extensively on good practice and procedure for independent investigations/reviews, including for Sport Resolutions, the global independent, not-for-profit, dispute resolution service for sports.
