Littleton Chambers sign top sports barrister Steven Flynn on Deadline Day

01.09.25

On the final day of the English football transfer window, Littleton Chambers are pleased to confirm the arrival of Steven Flynn, who joins the team on 1 September 2025.

Steven, called to the Bar in 2006, is widely recognised as one of the UK’s leading senior junior sports barristers. His practice covers commercial disputes, employment law, and both domestic and international arbitration. Described by Legal 500 as “one of the top sports law juniors in the UK”, he has advised high-profile clients across the sporting world — from professional athletes and teams to governing bodies, agents, and players’ associations.

Beyond sport, Steven has an established practice in business protection work, regularly handling matters involving restrictive covenants, breach of confidence, partnerships, shareholder rights, and cross-border contract disputes. He brings significant arbitration experience, having acted before most of the world’s leading arbitral tribunals. He also sits as an arbitrator and has been appointed as a chair on the Sport Resolutions Arbitration Panel.

Head of Chambers, Gavin Mansfield KC, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Steven to Littleton Chambers. His outstanding experience, particularly in sports law, will further strengthen our already talented team.”

Steven Flynn commented:

“I’m excited to join Littleton Chambers team, which has an impressive reputation in sports, employment, and commercial law. I look forward to working closely with my new teammates to provide the highest level of service to clients.”
