Littleton is delighted to announce that Richard Price OBE QC has been appointed as an Election Commissioner by the Queen’s Bench Division of
the High Court. Richard is now one of only three specialist Silks
appointed to this role, and is eligible to try election petitions where the
results of local government elections are challenged. Challenges can
involve allegations of electoral fraud or other malpractices on the part of a
candidate or his agents, or of breaches of election law by Returning Officers
or their staff. Richard’s appointment demonstrates the esteem in which he
is held in this highly specialist and sensitive area of law.
