Both Rupert D’Cruz and Mark Humphreys spoke at English Law Week 2013 (“ELW 2013”) in Moscow (18-20 November) hosted by the British Embassy. The conference was organised by The Bar Council and the Law Society and co-sponsored by Littleton. The theme of ELW 2013 was Managing Risk in an M&A and Banking Context.
Rupert was part of a panel of experts that discussed arbitration related issues and spoke about: anti-suit injunctions and their application in arbitral proceedings (including against third parties); contempt of court sanctions; and common mistakes made when drafting arbitration clauses.
Mark was part a panel of experts that discussed fraud related claims and spoke about pursuing claims against directors who had acted in breach of their duties with particular emphasis on: the role of proprietary remedies; interim relief; and the law of reflective losses.
